Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mahbubur Rahman said that the program taken to keep consumers comfortable during the month of Ramadan must be properly implemented. Price control must now be given priority. At the same time, he instructed the officials to strengthen the monitoring of TCB's product sales activities.
He said these things during an exchange of views with officials of the Ministry of Commerce and heads of its departments and agencies at the conference room of the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday. This is his first formal meeting with the officials after joining the Ministry of Commerce as Secretary.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an order to promote Mahbubur Rahman to the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. He is an officer of the 13th BCS Customs and Excise Cadre.
