Five people were killed and 10 injured in a collision between a covered van and a pickup van on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway’s Hafezia area of Feni on Monday evening.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter, Bogdadia police outpost in-charge Mizanur Rahman said that a pickup, carrying workers was heading to Feni. A speedy covert van, coming from the opposite direction, hit the pickup, leaving five people dead and 10 others injured.
Locals rescued the injured and rushed them to Feni General Hospital.
The driver of the covered van fled the scene, said the police official.
