A fire broke out at a packaging factory in the Matuail College Road of Konapara in the capital on Thursday morning.
Ershad Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed the matter.
No casualties were reported till the filling of this report.
The blaze began at the corrugated iron-sheet roof packaging factory around 7.35am, said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
Six units of firefighters have been pressed into the service. "We are trying to extinguish the blaze," the inspector said.
However, the cause of fire hasn’t been found out yet.
