Heavy monsoon rain in the hilly states of Himachal Pradesh in India causes flash floods and landslides since Friday, according oficials said on Sunday.
Overall the disaster has caused 22 deaths within 36 hours including other losses such as bridges and houses being swept away.
According to a senior disaster authority, the deaths were recorded from Mandi, Kangra and Chamba. Moreover, 10 people have been said to be missing. Mandi was said to be the worst hit district where 13 people have died so far.
Local news stations have aired footages of rescue operations but footages have nevertheless shown that the operations were hampered by heavy downpours.
