Under the apt leadership of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the organisational strength of the body has been remarkably boosted.
This was said by central leaders of the organisation at a view-exchange meeting with Madaripur unit leaders and stakeholders in a district venue on Thursday, reports Daily Sun.
About the grim picture of BAJUS in the past, they said jewellers were disintegrated, adding that Sayem Sobhan has stood by them as a banyan tree.
“A congenial atmosphere has been prevailing in the jewellery industry since the takeover of the presidency by Anvir. Now, BAJUS is one of the strong business organisations in the country.”
Speaking as the chief guest, MA Wadud Khan, former president of BAJUS and chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Law and Membership, lauded the role of Sayem Sobhan Anvir in streamlining the business.
The leadership of Bashundhara Group Managing Director and BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is so effective that every project sees incredible success, he opined.
“All organisations under the Bashundhara Group are working for the welfare of the people. Under the presidency of Sayem Sobhan, the members of BAJUS have jumped to 40,000. Very soon, the jewellery industry will go for export under his leadership,” he said.
Madaripur district unit president Nani Gopal presided over the programme which was addressed by the vice chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Law and Membership Masudur Rahman and member of the Standing Committee on District Monitoring Pabitra Chandra Ghose as special guests.
Madaripur district general secretary Harunur Rashid Sikder Kamal and jewellers from various parts of the district attended the view exchange meeting.
