Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell for the second consecutive day on Monday amid low turnover fearing ongoing economic crisis across the globe.
The benchmark index, DSEX tumbled 24 points or 0.39 per cent settled at 6,190 points while two other indices also decreased in the day’s trading session.
DSES, the Shariah index fell 5 points or 0.43 per cent while DS30, the blue-chip index tumbled 2 points or 0.13 per cent.
Turnover, another key indicator of the market, was Tk 351 crore, which is very low in recent months.
Out of the total issues traded, 13 advanced, 63 declined and 223 remained unchanged.
Genex Infosys, Orion Pharma and Navana Pharma were the top three traded value shares on the prime bourse of the country.
