The 'Tax Service Month' started on Tuesday in a bid to facilitate the taxpayers in submitting their returns as well as availing various tax-related services.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Mohammad Rahmatul Muneem inaugurated 'Tax Service Month'.
In his inaugural speech, the NBR chairman said although this year's income tax fair is not being held, taxpayers will get additional facilities at every tax zone like the income tax fair.
He said taxpayers can submit their returns for the 2022-2023 tax year at 31 tax zones and 641 tax circles across the country from November 1 to November 30.
The NBR will ensure a congenial atmosphere for the taxpayers as they can submit their returns at their respective tax zones.
The NBR chairman also said there will be separate tax zones at the Bangladesh secretariat and Officers Club Dhaka for the government officials and employees under Dhaka tax zone-4. Government job holders can submit their return there from November 1 to November 14, while from November 21-24 at Planning Commission and November 8-9 at Dhaka Cantonment.
New taxpayers can get registration and existing taxpayers can get re-registration at the e-TIN registration booths, he added.
Taxpayers can also submit taxes through e-payment.
