Classes at Dhaka University (DU) resumed on Sunday after a closure of more than three months.
However, first-year classes are scheduled to begin on 30 September.
Students expressed their excitement and relief at being able to return to classes, reports The Daily Sun.
The then Awami League government shut down all educational institutions on 16 July following an outbreak of violence over the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
