Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a short story writing competition to preserve the memories of the July martyrs.
The Shuvosangho Eden Mohila College unit held the event on the Shaheed Minar premises of the college around 5:00 pm on Saturday, with the participation of students from different departments.
Shuvosangho President of the college unit Faria Haque Tazim, its Organising Secretary Rebeka Sultana Mithun, Saima Jannat, Tasnuva Tushi, Akhi Moni, Sanzida Nila, Iffat Sultana, Jerin Akhter Nipu, Jannatul Ferdous, Samsi Akhter Chhoa, Sumaya Islam Ritu and Joti Arora, among others, were present at the event.
It is an effort to preserve the memories of the July Revolution and the martyrs, Tazim said in a brief reaction to the arrangement.
During the competition, the participants also described the unexpected and gruesome incidents that took place centring the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement that eventually ensured the unceremonious fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government, she said.
They also revealed their practical experiences of how the agitated students participated in the revolution against the misdeeds and mismanagement of the ousted Awami League government, Tazim said.
The experiences of the revolution will help students unite the nation and build a strong resistance to face any future crises, she said.
