The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that rain or thundershowers may occur at one or two locations in the Rangpur and Khulna divisions. Meanwhile, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies across the rest of the country for the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am on Wednesday.
"Rain/thundershowers are likely at one or two places in the Rangpur and Khulna divisions, while the weather may remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country," the BMD stated.
A trough of westerly low pressure extends over West Bengal and the surrounding areas, while the seasonal low is located over the South Bay, reports BSS.
Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas late at night and in the early morning.
Night and day temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
The highest temperature in the country on Monday was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, while the lowest was 12.8 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat, Rangpur division.
In the capital, the sun will set at 5:55 pm on Wednesday and rise at 6:29 am on Thursday.
