Sreemangal Upazila of Sylhet recorded the country’s lowest temperature at 8.9 degrees Celsius on Saturday, as a mild cold wave continued to affect parts of the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“A mild cold wave is sweeping Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar, and Chuadanga districts and it may persist,” the met office said in its regular bulletin.
The weather is expected to remain dry with a partly cloudy sky in some areas, reports UNB.
Light to moderate fog is likely to occur over the country from late night to early morning hours.
Besides, the night temperature is expected to remain nearly unchanged, while the daytime temperature may experience a slight drop.
