Anti-Discrimination Students Movement and Jatiya Nagorik Committee have announced 5-day program demanding the proclamation of July-August mass uprising.
From 6th January to 11th, the activists and leaders of these platforms are scheduled to hold public communication
On Sunday, the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement’s convener Hasnat Abdullah made the announcement in a joint press meeting, saying: “The government’s initiative to know mass people’s stance ahead of July-August mass uprising proclamation is yet to be seen.”
He confirmed that they are prepared to help the interim government in this regard if it makes any move.
“We demanded for July Proclamation from the ‘March for Unity’ held on 31st December at the premises of Shaheed Minar and the interim government made an announcement in this regard,” Hasnat said, adding: “Each and every people were took part in the uprising, and we believe that the July proclamation will reflect their desires.”
Expressing their desire of reaching out to people, he said: “We will conduct outreach in all educational institutions and among professionals across the country. And the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement and Jatiya Nagorik Committee jointly conduct the work.”
Muhammad Nasiruddin Patwari, convener of Jatiya Nagorik Committee, was also present at the press conference.
