One Covid death, 196 cases in 24 hrs

Bangladesh on Friday reported one Covid-19 death in 24 hours while it recorded 196 new coronavirus-positive cases during the period, reports UNB.

According to the latest statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the country's total fatalities rose to 29,321 while the caseload to 2,010,944.

The daily case test positivity rate rose to 4.15 per cent from Thursday’s 4.38 per cent as 4,721 samples were tested.

The latest deceased was a man from Dhaka division.
