According to the latest weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Chattogram division with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay said the bulletin.
The day temperature may fall slightly and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 36.9 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Tarash, Rangamati and Chuadnga respectively.
The met office said the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (Till 6 am Tuesday) was recorded at 96mm in Rangamati.
The sun sets at 6:25 pm today (Tuesday) and rises at 5:37 am tomorrow (Wednesday) in Dhaka.
