Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna has criticized Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen's speech about seeking help from the Indian government to stay in power.
“His (Foreign Minister) statement is unconstitutional and equal to sedition. This government has tarnished the image of the country abroad along with killing the country's democracy,” alleged Manna in a statement on Friday.
He said, “Momen recently went to America and requested them to make arrangements for BNP to participate in the next elections. Now, he openly told that the government has requested India to keep them in power.”
“Having no friend, they (Government) are begging for the intervention of foreign powers to stay in power.”
Earlier on Thursday, in Chattogram, Abdul Momen said that he urged India to help the government to stay in the state power.
