Bangladesh navy has rescued 12 fishermen stranded in the Bay of Bengal as the engine of their fishing boat went out of order.
BNS Padma rescued the fishermen alive on Tuesday from the fishing trawler ‘FB Gawsul Azam’, said a media release on Wednesday.
All of them are residents of Kutubdia.
The rescued fishermen were handed over to the owner of the trawler at Boroghop Ghat of Kutubdia.
Navy personnel provided food, water and primary treatment to the fishermen, it added.
