A Dhaka court on Tuesday set January 23 next year to hold hearing of 11 cases including killing and sedition ones filed against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia after forwarding the previous date.
The hearing of the cases were scheduled to be held on Tuesday in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Asaduzzaman set up on the Bhaban no.2 in Keraniganj Central Jail.
The court forwarded the date of hearing after a petition was filed by the BNP leader’s lawyer informing that activities of most of cases of the leader remain stayed in the High Court, additional public prosecutor of the court Tapos Kumar Pal said.
The 11 cases were filed against the BNP leader with Darus Salam and Jatrabari police stations.
