Bashundhara Kings have claimed the feat of becoming Bangladesh Federation Cup champions for the third consecutive seasons after defeating Mohammedan Sporting Club.
In the Federation Cup final held at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Wednesday evening, Kings secured a 3-2 victory over Mohammedan to lift the title and complete a hat-trick of championships.
In a thrilling final, Bashundhara Kings fell behind twice but the defending champions never lost their composure during the match.
The final result reflected their fighting spirit as Kings produced a brilliant comeback to secure a 3-2 victory and retain the trophy on home soil.
With the win, Bashundhara Kings claimed their third consecutive Federation Cup title and their fourth overall trophy in the competition.
Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes emerged as the hero of the final. Matching his team’s hat-trick of titles, he scored a hat-trick in the final to lead Kings to victory.
By virtue of becoming champions, Bashundhara Kings have become the only team in domestic football since independence to win three trophies in a single season for a second time.
The Kings had previously achieved their first domestic treble in the 2023–24 season, when they won the Independence Cup, Federation Cup and the league title.
