Head coach Simmons to miss second ODI for medical appointment

Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons will miss the second ODI of the ongoing three-match series as he travels to London for a medical appointment, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Friday.

Simmons is scheduled to fly out on 4 July and is expected to return to Sri Lanka on 7 July. 

Bangladesh trail 0-1 in the series after a heavy defeat in Colombo and will be looking to bounce back in the second match on Saturday to keep the series alive ahead of the final ODI.
