Bangladesh Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto suffered another blow to his finger during a slip-catching drill ahead of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Monday, reports Daily Sun.
This is the second time in a week Shanto has taken a hit on the finger—the earlier one occurred during practice before the Galle Test.
And he played in that test with battling pain.
Following the fresh knock, Shanto did not take part in batting or fielding drills for the remainder of the session. Team management is expected to monitor his condition closely ahead of the Test match.
