Renowned English cricket coach Richard Pybus arrived in Dhaka on Saturday to begin his new role as the Director of Game Development & Training at the Bashundhara Cricket Network.
“Bashundhara Cricket Network proudly welcomes Richard Pybus as Director of Game Development & Training. A world-class visionary, will now work together hand in hand to revolutionize Cricket thru the most advanced Cricketing Eco-system of Bangladesh,” Bashundhara Cricket Network confirmed in their Facebook page.
Pybus brings with him a wealth of international coaching experience.
He previously served as the head coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team for a brief stint between June and October 2012. He also had multiple tenures with the Pakistan national team and has held several prominent roles within the West Indies cricket structure — including Director of Cricket in 2013, High-Performance Director in 2018, and Interim Head Coach in 2019.
In addition to his international credentials, Pybus has also coached extensively in South Africa and England’s domestic circuits, making him one of the most experienced and well-traveled figures in the global cricketing community.
