Legendry singer of the subcontinent Asha Bhosle breathed her last on Sunday. Along with countless fans and admirers, Bangladesh’s iconic artiste Runa Laila is devastated by the loss.

Reacting to the tragic news, Runa Laila shared her shock and heartbreak, saying that the world has lost yet another irreplaceable legend.

“Two of the greatest artistes of our time have passed away one after the other. Lata Mangeshkar didi left us in 2022, and now Asha didi is gone. Such artistes will never be born again. It feels like my world has become empty,” she said.

Recalling her personal bond with the two legends, Runa Laila added, “They both loved me deeply-like a mother. This pain cannot be expressed in words.”
