The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has approved a 151-member full-fledged central executive committee of its youth wing, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, with Abdul Monayem Munna named President and Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayon appointed General Secretary.
The committee was approved on Thursday, according to a statement issued by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Under the new leadership structure, Rezaul Kabir Paul has been made Senior Vice-President, while a number of vice-presidents, joint general secretaries and assistant general secretaries have also been appointed.
The committee includes office-bearers responsible for organisation, publicity, research, law, international affairs, health, information technology, sports, environment and other key sectors.
Several members based overseas, including representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, have also been included in the committee.
The formation of the full committee is expected to strengthen the organisational capacity of Jubo Dal and enhance its role in implementing the BNP’s political programmes and activities across the country.
The new committee takes effect immediately following its approval by the party leadership.
