Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday has alleged that a group is trying to create an unstable situation in the country and urged everyone to be alert and vigilant in this regard.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at a public reception organized to demand the implementation of Ruhia Upazila in Thakurgaon on.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “A group is trying to destabilize the country. I urge you all to be alert and vigilant so that they do not succeed. When we have started the work of building a new country under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, let us not be confused in any way.”
He also said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's government is a government of implementing promises.
“We are working to fulfill the promises we have made. He talked about the family card, farmer card and canal digging programs; those programs have already started. Along with this, initiatives have been taken to implement other promises,” Fakhrul added.
