Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday attended the 46th National Rally of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) at the Ansar-VDP Academy in Safipur of Gazipur.
The Prime Minister arrived at the rally venue in the morning, where he was warmly received by senior officials of the force.
At the beginning of the programme, Tarique Rahman inspected a disciplined and colourful parade organised to mark the national rally at the academy’s parade ground.
From the saluting dais, the Prime Minister received a state salute as well as a special guard of honour presented by smartly turned-out contingents of the force.
The event was attended by senior government officials, high-ranking members of the Ansar and VDP, and invited guests.
