The government has appointed three officials on contract basis in the rank of secretary as director general of NGO Affairs Bureau, chairman of Land Appeal Board and Waqf Administrator.
Dr. Mohammad Zakaria has been appointed as director general of NGO Affairs Bureau. Safiz Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as Waqf Administrator of the Bangladesh Waqf Administrator's Office. Md. Abdullah Al Baki has been appointed as chairman of Land Appeal Board.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued three notifications appointing these former bureaucrats for one year.
It said that in accordance with Section 49 of the 'Government Employment Act, 2018', these officials have been appointed on contract basis in these posts as secretary for a period of one year from the date of joining on the condition that they give up any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution or organization.
