BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that as the successor of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman always thinks about the development of rural areas and farmers.
He said this while inaugurating the 'Farmer Card' program at Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail on Tuesday.
Rizvi said, “Tarique Rahman's agricultural thinking is not something that happened today. Rather, he has been expressing his plans and dreams to us for 8-9 years. The speed at which his plans are being implemented, there is no doubt that he is following the path of his father Shaheed Zia.”
He mentioned that during Ziaur Rahman's rule, Bangladesh stood tall in the world in terms of exports. Although rice had to be imported during the previous Awami League regime, Bangladesh will once again be self-sufficient in food as a result of Tarique Rahman's modern agricultural initiative.
