Attorney General Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal has said that the current elected government is a manifestation of the spirit of the July Revolution.
He said, “Anti-fascist spirit was born in the country through the July mass uprising. The current government is a manifestation of that spirit of the July Revolution.”
The Attorney General exchanged views with local residents at the Kotchandpur Pilot High School Maidan in Jhenaidah on Friday morning. He said this in response to questions from journalists after the exchange of views.
The current government is committed to building an anti-fascist state, said Ruhul Quddus Kajal. 'The people had expected to build an anti-fascist state through the July Revolution. The current government's commitment to fulfilling that expectation of the people of the country is very clear.”
The government is moving forward on the path of implementing the spirit of the July Revolution. He said that the government has already formulated a security policy for the July fighters.
Stating that the verdict in the murder case of Shaheed Abu Sayed was based on the evidence in the tribunal, he said, "The aggrieved party has a legal right to appeal."
Attorney General Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal said, "The government is determined to establish a separate secretariat for the judiciary. The Law Minister has already clearly explained the government's position on this issue in the National Assembly. We want to have full confidence in the government's position on this issue."
The High Court has given a verdict on the establishment of a separate secretariat for the judiciary. However, that verdict is not final. The Attorney General said that the issue of establishing a separate secretariat for the Supreme Court will be resolved through the resolution of the appeal in the Supreme Court.
