The Meteorological Department has forecast rain with thunderstorms over four districts of the country. At the same time, river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
The Meteorological Department shared this information in a notification issued for the country's inland river ports till 1 pm on Friday.
The notification said that there may be rain or thunderstorm with gusty or squally winds from the west or northwest at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour over Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions. River ports in these areas have been asked to hoist warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, another weather forecast has said that by Friday evening, there may be rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
At the same time, there may be scattered hailstorms in some places in the country. The day temperature may increase by two to three degrees Celsius across the country and the night temperature may decrease slightly.
