24 state ministers who were included in the cabinet of the ruling BNP government have taken oath. They took oath after 4 pm on Tuesday. Among them are three allies of BNP's simultaneous movement.
They are Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur, Chief Coordinator of the Ganosamhati Andolon Md. Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki and National Democratic Movement (NDM) Chairman Bobby Hajjaj.
Md. Nurul Haque Nur has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment. Md. Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning. Bobby Hajjaj has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
In the 13th parliamentary elections, BNP had left 8 parliamentary seats for the partners of the simultaneous movement. Although not all of those seats were won, the unity of the movement did not break. In line with that, the BNP has allocated three above mentioned state minister posts to the allies of the movement in forming the government this time.
