Ishraque Hossain called to take oath

Ishraq Hossain, newly elected lawmaker from Dhaka-6 in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, has been invited to take oath as a member of the new cabinet.

He is likely to be sworn in as a state minister.

Sources close to the BNP and the Secretariat confirmed the development on Tuesday.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet is scheduled to take place at 4:00 pm on the same day. As per constitutional provisions, President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer the oath to the new prime minister and members of the cabinet.
