The Bangladesh Nationalist Party has decided that none of its Members of Parliament will accept duty-free cars or plots allocated by the government.
The decision was made at the first meeting of the party’s parliamentary group under the new government on Tuesday. Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell, confirmed that the lawmakers would forego both duty-free vehicles and government-assigned plots.
This move reflects the party’s stated commitment to transparency and its effort to avoid the use of special privileges for its MPs.
