The Appellate Division Chamber Court has suspended the High Court order to keep government and private lower secondary and secondary schools closed during the entire month of Ramadan.
Appellate Division Chamber Justice Farah Mahbub issued this order on Monday. Additional attorney general barrister Anik R. Haque heard for the state in the court.
Earlier, the High Court ordered to keep government and private lower secondary and secondary schools closed during the entire month of Ramadan on Sunday. The High Court bench of Justice Fahmida Quader and Justice Md. Asif Hasan issued this order. Lawyer Md. Elias Ali Mondal and Advocate Tanzina Bobby Liza heard for the writ in the court.
Before that, a writ was filed in the High Court seeking an order to keep schools closed during the month of Ramadan. Supreme Court lawyer Md. Elias Ali Mondal filed this writ in the relevant branch of the High Court. On January 5, the Supreme Court lawyer issued a legal notice to the government to keep schools closed during the holy month of Ramadan.
