Chief Adviser’s Principal Secretary M Sirajuddin Miah has submitted his resignation letter.
Sirajuddin submitted his resignation to the Chief Adviser on Monday.
Sources at the Ministry of Public Administration confirmed that following the submission of his resignation, the matter has been sent to the ministry for necessary processing.
The ministry will now issue a gazette notification cancelling the remaining tenure of his contractual appointment.
The government has cancelled the remaining tenure of the contract of Cabinet Secretary Dr Sheikh Abdur Rashid. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Saturday.
Immediate after the cancellation of his contact, M Sirajuddin Miah has been appointed as new Cabinet Secretary.
However, just two days later, Sirajuddin Miah also submitted his resignation letter.
Sirajuddin Miah had been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser on a two-year contractual basis on October 2, 2024. Accordingly, his tenure was scheduled to continue until September this year.
