Law Adviser Asif Nazrul has said there is no possibility of him being part of the next cabinet.
Responding to questions from reporters at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon, he said, “There is no question of my being in the next cabinet.”
Asif Nazrul said lawmakers will take oath at 10:00 am on Tuesday at the Jatiya Sangsad’s oath room, while the new cabinet will be sworn in at 4:00 pm at the South Plaza of the parliament complex.
“I assume the chief election commissioner will administer the oath to the MPs, while the president will administer the oath to the cabinet,” he said, adding that the oath-taking ceremony has been arranged at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in line with the BNP’s intention.
Regarding guests at the ceremony, the law adviser said invitations will be extended in accordance with convention and that the Cabinet Division is overseeing the matter.
He also said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited foreign ministers of SAARC member states.
