The government has approved the establishment of three new police stations: Purbachal North in Gazipur district, Purbachal South in Narayanganj district, and Matarbari in Cox's Bazar district.
Additionally, a proposal was approved to establish another new police station by splitting Raipura in Narsingdi district.
The approval came at the 119th meeting of National Implementation Committee for Administrative Reforms (NICAR) held on Tuesday at the State Guest House Jamuna.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, marking the first NICAR session during the tenure of the interim government.
During the meeting, a total of 11 proposals related to administrative reforms were approved.
