The Election Commission (EC) to hold a meeting with all registered political parties on Tuesday on the issue of voting through the Postal Vote BD app ahead of the upcoming referendum and the 13th National Parliament elections.
The meeting to be held at the EC Secretariat on Tuesday, will provide a detailed explanation to political parties about the postal voting system, registration and the overall process of voting.
In a press release on Monday the EC said that a briefing will be held at the Election Commission Secretariat's auditorium (Basement-2) from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.
The release further said that the referendum and the 13th National Parliament elections will be held on February 12. The scrutiny of nomination papers and appeal hearings of candidates have already been completed on the occasion of this election. Symbols will be allotted on January 21 and the election campaign will start from January 22.
After the allocation of symbols, registered voters from within and outside the country will be able to cast their votes through the Postal Vote BD app.
