Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that a major conspiracy lies behind the murder of Inqilab Mancha convener Osman Hadi.
Speaking to reporters in front of the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Saturday afternoon, Salahuddin said attempts to obstruct democracy and derail the electoral process by creating anarchy in the country would not succeed.
He claimed that both domestic and foreign forces could be involved in efforts aimed at destabilising the situation and postponing elections.
Salahuddin said a clear message would be delivered through a rally led by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman on December 25, asserting that no conspiracy would be allowed to take root.
The BNP leader also said the party would soon take decisions regarding its remaining election nominations.
