Air ambulance carrying Hadi leaves airport for Singapore

The air ambulance carrying Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inquilab Mancha and potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency for upcoming election, has left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Singapore.

Hadi is being taken to Singapore for advanced treatment.

Hadi’s two brothers are accompanying him during the journey to Singapore.

Earlier, the air ambulance landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after 11:00am.

Hadi was shot on Friday (12 December) while travelling by rickshaw along Box Culvert Road in Paltan by an assailant riding a motorcycle.

He sustained bullet injuries to the head and was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he underwent surgery, before being shifted later that night to Evercare Hospital. Doctors said his condition remains “critical”.
