Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi is being taken to Singapore for advanced treatment in an air ambulance, reports the Daily Sun.
He was moved from Evercare Hospital to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:15 pm on Monday (15 December).
Hadi’s two brothers are accompanying him during the journey to Singapore.
Earlier, the air ambulance landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after 11:00 am.
Hadi was shot on Friday (12 December) while travelling by rickshaw along Box Culvert Road in Paltan by an assailant riding a motorcycle.
He sustained bullet injuries to the head and was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he underwent surgery, before being shifted later that night to Evercare Hospital. Doctors said his condition remains “critical”.
Hadi was also one of the leaders of the July Uprising, and a prospective independent candidate for the upcoming national election from Dhaka-8.
