Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan and Mahfuz Alam are resigning from the advisory council of the interim government. Both of them have already submitted their resignation letters.
Asif Mahmud was serving as the advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Mahfuz Alam was serving as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
After the fall of the fascist Sheikh Hasina government on August 5 last year, an interim government was formed on August 8 under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus. In this government, three representatives of the students who led the July mass uprising got a place in the government. Earlier, on February 25, Md. Nahid Islam resigned from the advisory council.
