Election schedule to be announced Thursday

The schedule for the 13th national election and referendum on the July National Charter will be announced at 6 pm on Thursday.

Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed said this after the recording of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A M M Nasir Uddin's address by Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban here, Akhtar Ahmed said the CEC will deliver a recorded address to the nation, during which he will announce the election schedule.
