Three more people died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, pushing this year’s total fatalities to 401.
During the same period, 421 new dengue patients were hospitalized across the country, bringing the total number of cases this year to 98,705.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in a dengue update issued on Tuesday afternoon.
The DGHS said, among the three deaths in the past 24 hours, two were residents of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), while the third was from outside the Barishal City Corporation area.
Meanwhile, 528 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of recoveries this year has reached 96,760.
