Shahadat Hossain Selim,the chairman of Bangladesh Liberal Democratic Party- BLDP (partly), has joined BNP after dissolving party.
The Press Wing of BNP informed about his joining BNP on Monday.
BNP said that Shahadat Hossain Selim will contest from Lakshmipur-1 (Ramganj) constituency in the 13th National Parliament election on November 27 under the symbol of paddy sheaf.
BNP's Chattogram divisional organizing secretary Mahbubur Rahman Shamim informed the media about this information, quoting party's acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
He said, “Shahadat Hossain Selim was active on the streets in every democratic movement of BNP in past as the spokesperson of the 12-party alliance. Considering that, BNP has already given him the green signal.”
