“Leaders of one party make outrageous comments about BNP throughout the day, and at night they go to the houses of BNP leaders and make requests. If seats are confirmed, there is no problem for evens the so-called uncompromising leaders to be sold out,” said Abdul Quader, former convener of the Ganotantrik Chhatra Shakti DU branch.
He said this on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
He said, ‘The uncompromising leader and his imam (leader) who are shouting in the media have held 3 meetings at BNP leader Salahuddin’s house for 20 seats in the last 15 days, and have made requests once at Mirza Fakhrul Islam’s house so far.’
The so-called uncompromising leader is making such contradictory statements as a strategy for better negotiation in seat negotiations, he said stating, “What was the picture like after the mass uprising! The old political parties will come to the youth; the youth will be in the driving seat. But the imams themselves go and sit for 20 seats. As a strategy for sharing seats, they abuse the media; they go and sit at home; still, the seats are not allocated! So funny!”
