The interim government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 14 more districts as part of a major reshuffle in the field-level administration ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election.
A notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration in this regard on Sunday evening.
The districts include Brahmanbaria, Jhenaidah, Narail, Jamalpur, Meherpur, Kishoreganj, Jhalakathi, Gopalganj, Chuadanga, Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Mymensingh, Manikganj, and Chandpur.
Earlier, the government issued a notification appointing new DCs in 15 districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued the notification on Saturday night, transferring six DCs to other districts and assigning nine officers of the rank of deputy secretary as DCs in as many districts.
