AL leader Ahsan Habib arrested in anti-terrorism case

Police have arrested Barrister Ahsan Habib Bhuiyan, an assistant secretary of the Awami League's central sub-committee, in connection with a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009.

He was detained from a house on Road-118 in Dhaka's Gulshan area in the early hours of Saturday.

Confirming the development, Abu Bakkar, inspector (investigation) of Gulshan Police Station, said that Ahsan Habib was produced before a court later in the day.
