BNP Central Committee publicity secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said, “Our beloved leader Deshnayak Tarique Rahman has presented 31 points to the nation. How will Bangladesh run in the future? In those 31 points, family cards are to be given to every household.”
He said, “If BNP is elected by the people's vote, then one family card will be given to every household in every area. That family card will be in the name of the mothers so that mothers can run the family.”
He said this during an exchange of views with the people of Porabari and Baghil unions of Tangail Sadar Upazila on Sunday afternoon. In addition, Tuku visited the grave of the mother of Porabari Union Jubo Dal convener Abdur Rouf Ripon.
He said, “Whenever BNP makes a promise, it has fulfilled it by the grace of Allah. National leader Begum Khaleda Zia has fulfilled every promise in the past. Inshallah, Tarique Rahman will fulfill every one of the 31 points presented in the coming days.”
Tuku also said, “Fascism has departed from Bangladesh. This fascist government has departed through disappearances and murders. The people of this country want a democratic state system.”
Present at the time were former member secretary of the district BNP Mahmudul Haque Sanu, president of Sadar Upazila BNP Azgar Ali, former member of the central Jubo Dal Syed Shahidul Alam Titu and former organizing secretary of the district BNP Shafiqur Rahman Khan Shafiq, former acting president of the district Chhatra Dal Syed Moniruzzaman Jewel and party leaders and activists from various levels.
