Bangladesh Ambassador to Poland Md. Mainul Islam presented his credentials to Polish President Andrzej Duda.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Poland said in a statement on Wednesday (July 2) that the Polish Army gave a guard of honor to the ambassador on the occasion of the credential presentation ceremony.
President Andrzej Duda warmly welcomed the ambassador and assured all kinds of cooperation in the discharge of his duties. He praised Bangladesh's economic progress and active role in the international arena.
Ambassador Mainul Islam, on behalf of the President and Chief Advisor to the Government of Bangladesh, extended his warm greetings and congratulations to the Polish President. He reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Poland and multi-dimensional cooperation including trade and investment, education, manpower, technology and cultural exchanges. He highlighted the issue of opening the Polish embassy in Dhaka.
After presenting his credentials, the ambassador paid tribute to Poland's history and sacrifice by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
