In a courtesy call with the Chief Advisor of the interim government Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, there was no discussion about the date of the next national election or the possible timeframe for the election, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin.
He told this to the reporters at his office at the Election Building on Tuesday afternoon.
The CEC said, “The chief advisor wanted to know about the election preparations. The chief advisor has been informed that the election preparations are going on in full swing. The election preparations are now in full gear.
In response to a question, he said preparations for the election are being made from February to April and the Election Commission will announce the election date and schedule in due course.
